• Call for proposals: Women's CSO recruitment - Awareness-raising, electoral education and mobilization initiatives to strengthen the enrollment and participation of women in the electoral process as part of the Redesign of the Electoral List 1. ContextMadagascar has entered a new electoral cycle, part of the dynamic of Refoundation of the Republic announced by the national authorities since October 2025. This phase, planned over a period of twenty-four months, must lead successively to national and territorial consultations, to institutional and electoral reforms, to a constitutional referendum, then to the organization of presidential and legislative elections. It creates an opportune structuring moment for rethink electoral practices and strengthen effective participation, by consolidating preparation, civic and electoral culture. The crucial issue is to make participation an informed and strategic act, based on the understanding of main stages of the electoral cycle starting with the registration of citizens of voting age on the electoral lists - in a context where, despite their demographic weight, women represent 50.3% of the population and young people 72.6%, all by remaining largely less registered in the national register of voters and as a result a low rate of their participation as voters, candidates and elected officials for elective functions.The electoral cycles...
