Call for projects for low-value subsidies aimed at strengthening governance, sustainability and socio-economic conditions in the Mica sector in Madagascarreference: 001/AMI/MINES MICA/2025The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) implements the Integrity ProjectIn the extractive sector (Mica mines), which aims to improve governance in the Mica sector while promoting respect for human rights, children's rights and gender equality. Through its commitment, the UNDP supports the application of socio-environmental regulations andeconomic in the sector, in particular within the framework of the Malagasy Mining Code revised in 2023, in order to ensure a more responsible and sustainable exploitation of Mica. In this optics, a call for projects is launched to recruit a local or regional civil society organization (CSO), responsible forSet up actions aimed at strengthening governance, transparency and socio-economic conditions of mining communities operating in the mica sector. In support of national efforts of good governance and human rights protection, the integrity project in the extreme sector(MICA mines) targets critical mining regions in order to promote more responsible and inclusive practices, while reducing the negative impacts of mica exploitation on communities and the environment.
